AE911Truth Spoken of by Several Presenters – Courted by Alternative Media The spectacular explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil-drilling platform was a darkly resonant backdrop for the paradigm-challenging “Understanding Deep Politics” conference held in Santa Cruz, CA, May 14-16. Just as everyone knows that the “real story” isn’t the fireball or even the massive slick on the surface, but the invisible deep source of the catastrophe, a critical mass of world Truth leaders came together to expose the deep and dark forces behind the staged explosions of 9/11, the ongoing geopolitical catastrophe they were used to justify, and the slick of official myths spread by the mainstream media to try to keep the American public from waking up and ending its collective nightmare. The “Deep Politics” theme of the conference originated with one of the keynote speakers, University of California Berkeley Emeritus Professor Peter Dale Scott. Prof. Scott coined the term “deep politics” to refer to the covert “dark side” goals, means and operations of a hard-right “Western” military, intelligence, corporate and criminal cabal behind the series of engineered crises that have shaken America and the world — the facilitated “Reichstag Fire” attack on U.S. ships at Pearl Harbor that had the desired effect of catapulting America into World War II; the myth of the U.S. ship attack in the Gulf of Tonkin used to escalate the Vietnam War; the assassination of JFK, who refused to attack Cuba, and of RFK and MLK, who wanted to end the Vietnam War; the attack on the USS Cole, which was intended to escalate the U.S. military presence in the Middle East, but didn’t; the 9/11 “Reichstag Fire” self-attack on their own world military headquarters, the Pentagon, and the World Trade Center used to burst the cabal’s geopolitical agenda to the surface; and the WMD Big Lie used to rationalize the attack on Iraq. Professor Scott’s address was on the use of the 9/11 false flag attacks to trigger initiation of secret emergency Continuity of Government (COG) executive operations and powers which are still in force. He called upon Congress to enforce the existing statute that requires the President’s COG authorities to lapse if not affirmatively renewed. Speaker Jim Marrs, New York Times best-selling author whose book Crossfire formed a basis for Oliver Stone’s deep politics movie “JFK,” reviewed the infiltration of top Nazis into the Pentagon, U.S. Space Program and other American institutions in the wake of their surface defeat in World War II — the subject of his recent book The Rise of the Fourth Reich. The world dean of 9/11 Truth research Professor David Ray Griffin gave the one presentation specifically focused on the attacks of Sept. 11, summarizing his recent book The Mysterious Collapse of World Trade Center 7 compellingly proving its collapse due to controlled demolition using pre-placed explosives. In the audience for Prof. Griffin’s talk and throughout the two-and-a-half-day conference was our own AE911Truth founder Richard Gage, AIA, who received a rousing ovation when recognized from the podium for his global work spreading the truth about the evidence for the engineered destruction of the three WTC towers. Several members of the alternative media interviewed Mr. Gage at the AE911Truth information and sales table where an array of books, DVDs, brochures, t-shirts, and cards were nearly sold out to the 9/11 truth-hungry participants. Renowned Canadian television journalist and 9/11 author Barry Zwicker gave an overview of the repeat use of false flag attacks in modern history, including the attack on the USS Liberty, the Gulf of Tonkin deception, the first WTC bombing, the Oklahoma City bombing, 9/11, the 7/7 London subway bombings and the Madrid bombings, among others. He is currently working on a book on the “routine” use of such false flag self-attacks to achieve ends of state. The most tangible and encouraging development of the conference was Zwicker’s revelation that Canadian and international legal experts are moving forward with what they call the “11/11 Project” for an international inquest on the mass crimes of September 11. “11/11” refers to November 11, 2011 — one month after the projected date of the announcement of the inquest’s judgment on Sept. 11, 2011 — “when,” Zwicker said with his signature grin and twinkle, “all of our goals will have been achieved.” Zwicker and some other speakers are also working on a “Santa Cruz Declaration” which they’ll be circulating in draft to Truth Movement leaders for feedback. Former MI-5 intelligence officer and leader of Britain’s 9/11 truth movement Annie Machon gave a fast-moving synopsis of her experiences in the British Security Service and as a whistleblower exposing the involvement of the agency’s sister service MI-6 in the attempted assassination of Libyan leader Col. Gaddafi. The speaker most familiar with the corporate machinations behind the Gulf oil disaster was former international oil-field executive Ian Crane, who spoke on “Exposing the Agenda of the New World Order.” He detailed the U.S.-led push for hegemony and control of global resources, focusing on the escalating attack on world populations in the name of corporate globalization and “harmonization.” American Iraq-born physician and activist Dr. Dahlia Wasfi received a standing ovation for her moving and documented presentation exposing the lie of Israeli victimhood and putting individual faces and stories on one of the New World Order’s most devastating attacks on innocent populations who live atop “global” resources — the people of Iraq. Wasfi makes a historically compelling case that the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq is an extension of Israel’s invasion and occupation of Palestine. Former U.S. Representative, vocal 9/11 Truth advocate and tireless international activist for the Palestinian cause, Cynthia McKinney, was slated to be a keynote speaker, but had to cancel due to a family emergency. Award-winning author and progressive political analyst Michael Parenti spoke on “Deep Ideology: How Reactionary Agendas Shape Political Awareness” and the importance of language and mental framing for a breakthrough in mass awareness and acceptance of 9/11 and other critical truths. Sonoma State University Professor of Sociology and founder and president of The Media Freedom Foundation’s “Project Censored” for the past15 years, Peter Phillips, and his successor Professor Mickey Huff spoke on the “core knot” problem of state/corporate control and censorship of the mass media and its recent consolidation into half a dozen media giants. On the financial side, attorney and author of Web of Debt Ellen Brown summarized the history and inner workings of the Federal Reserve and how the People and the States can circumvent it to take back the power to create money that the establishment “Money Trust” usurped. Whereas the speakers did an outstanding job of stating the problem — a U.S.-led, right-wing international criminal cabal whose false flag attacks are protected by official secrecy and corporate media collusion, they struggled to come up with broadly viable solutions. The political leanings of participants in the Solutions Panels, in fact, ran the entire gamut from the extreme left to the libertarian right, and some avoided friendly fire by diplomatically agreeing to disagree. For instance, the future envisioned by Professor Griffin and one of the panel facilitators, Byron Belitsos — a world democratic government – was derided by Ian Crane, whose anti-solution was effectively to drop out and “do your own thing” before the inevitable global collapse. The most far-reaching solution for achieving legal accountability was the above-mentioned Canadian “11/11 Project.” Other specific, though limited, proposals were: a new think tank to fund research and publishing by academic Truth Movement leaders, by Annie Machon; and Professor Scott’s call for Congress to implement the law requiring the emergency executive powers under COG to lapse if not affirmatively renewed. The Soviet regime suddenly fell in great part due to Glasnost, the opening of its dark and moribund system to the light and freer dissemination of truth. As we look back from November 11, 2011, we may see that the Santa Cruz “Deep Politics” conference was a turning point in our own American “Glasnost” that just as suddenly — and unexpectedly — brought down the Old “New World Order” almost as fast as the World Trade Center Towers fell on 9/11. On Saturday March 20th, a huge anti-war rally and march was held at Lafayette Park in Washington D.C. It was sponsored by A.N.S.W.E.R. Speakers included Cindy Sheehan, Ann Wright, Ralph Nader, Matthis Chiroux, Mike Ferner, and many others.

The march ended in front of the White House. Some of the protesters placed faux coffins representing different countries we have harmed during these illegal wars against the fence in front of the White House. The Park Police set up a perimeter around these coffins using the “POLICE DO NOT CROSS” tape. My guess would be it was around 50ft x 50ft on the front sidewalk of the White House. People like Matthis Chiroux laid down in front of the coffins to protest. If you entered this zone, you were arrested. I refer to it as an arbitrary “arrest zone.”

Cindy Sheehan, myself, and others walked through the crowd until we reached the barrier closest to those laying down on the sidewalk. As you can see in this video, the barrier failed, and Cindy Sheehan walked across. As soon as she entered the “arrest zone,” the Park Police immediately grabbed her, and handcuffed her. They were literally manhandling her.

This made me angry, and I yelled at the Park Police to “let her go!” Before I knew it, the barrier was back up. I tried to push through the barrier, but the Park Police pushed back. I managed to push two Park Policeman back until one of them grabbed for something on their side to use against me. It was probably mace, but it could have been anything. I stopped pushing. I walked around to the side where the police tape was, that failed, and I found myself within the “arrest zone.” I decided that I was going to allow myself to be arrested in order to keep an eye on Cindy. One of the Park Police grabbed me by my arm, and placed me next to Matthew and the others.

When I sat down next to Matthis, he said to me, “you’re on the right side of the line,” and I said, “I know.” One of the Park Police walked over to me, and said to another officer, “he crossed the line, arrest him.” That Park Policeman lifted me up, and put me in regular metal cuffs. As I stood up, I screamed as loud as I could, “THIS ARREST IS DEDICATED TO 9/11 VICTIM FAMILY MEMBER ROBERT MCILVAINE JR.!!!” and part of the crowd cheered. As they walked me away I could see Ann Wright waving her fist at me with a big smile on her face as if to say, “RIGHT ON!”

Before I was placed in the van, they changed the metal cuffs to the plasticuffs. They put them on WAY too tight. I told them I have a bad shoulder, but it didn’t matter. They were not too concerned with our comfort. As a result of the plasticuffs, my left thumb is numb. Joshua Smith took this video of me being taken to the van.

This arrest was completely unplanned. The action Camp OUT NOW did plan was to take place about 45min – 1hr later (around 4pm) when the Democratic Caucus arrived to discuss the new health bill. The plan was to sit in front of the entrance ways to the White House to block them from getting in. We never had the opportunity.

Personally, I think it’s a shame that more people didn’t cross the line. That is a public sidewalk paid for by the people of this country, and we have a right to peaceably assemble. This arbitrary “arrest zone,” is unconstitutional as far as I’m concerned.

A song had been going through my head all week. Power To The People by John Lennon. I started singing it in the van, and everyone else joined in. It was really quite amazing to see.

When we arrived at the Park Police station, they took us out of the van, and brought us in to get our information, and to strip of us of everything we were carrying. Including our shoelaces. I told the officers that my shoulder was hurting, and that the plasticuffs were on too tight. They clipped them off, and Matthis described the way my arms shot forward like a “spring board.” My wrists had these huge purple gashes in them where the plasticuffs were. They took my information, and placed me in a cell by myself with a window, a small metal bench, and a metal sink with a toilet. The air conditioning was on, so that was good for me, but a lot of the other arrestees were freezing.

We spent several hours in those cells only to come out to get fingerprinted, and photographed. Two of the people that were arrested with us eventually were allowed to leave, but six of us were not. Other people found out that we would most likely not be getting out until Monday, but I didn’t hear anything from within my cell.

Cindy writes:

“The two that were released were from DC and those of us held were out-of-towners. Immediately, we knew this explanation was total b.s. because I have been arrested in DC about 13 times now and I have always been from “out-of-town,” and have never even been held overnight, let alone two nights.

Was it a coincidence that Camp OUT NOW had two major actions over the weekend to try and hold our campsite that I missed due to being jailed? I don’t think so.”

I asked officer Walker if we would be getting out that night, and he said he had to talk to his supervisor. Eventually officer Walker opened my cell door, and placed a tag on my wrist with my info and mugshot, and said “put your hands behind your back.” This time they didn’t put the plasticuffs on me so tightly. One of the officers TIGHTENTED Cindy’s plasticuffs after another officer put them on less tighter than before. Elaine had cuts on her wrists.

From there, we were placed into a truck that had a VERY cramped sitting area. I am somewhat claustrophobic so it was hard for me to get in. I did. On the way to the jail, we were talking about how we should have been let go, among other things.

After we arrived at the jail, they took off our plasticuffs, and they frisked us. Then we were placed into what can only be described as a human kennel. The cells were SMALL, and comprised of steel walls, steel beds, steel sinks, and steel toilets. The bars were made up of big bars, and a steel mesh that kind of looked like this from Star Trek TNG. It was easily 85-90 degrees in there, with one big fan blowing. There was very little air circulation. My shirt became my pillow, and I put my socks in the water, and wrapped them around my head Rambo style in order to cool off.

As I said, I’m somewhat claustrophobic, and I started to get a panic attack. I asked to be taken to the hospital in order to get something to calm me down. They did, and as I was there, I was watched by two different shifts of officers from the Metropolitan Police Department. Most of them were nice. We talked about politics, and other things. Every single one of them laughed at me when I told them why I was in jail. They told me I should have gotten a $25-$100 fine, and been released after a few hours.

When I was returned to the kennel, they put me in a bigger cell by myself. In there, I sat for 30 some odd hours. Oddly enough, the fact that I didn’t have cigarettes really didn’t bother me. The cockroaches kept all of us company. They were ALL OVER the place. One of them crawled into bed with me.

The one commodity in jail is the time of day. There were no clocks on the wall so you had no idea what time it was. The only way you could get the time was to ask a guard as they passed by. Some of them gave us the correct time, and others lied to us about it. They fed us bologna and cheese sandwiches every 12 hours, along with bug juice and lemonade.

It is very hard to sleep in jail. Someone told me the guilty sleep well, and the innocent do not. I could only sleep an hour here, and an hour there. It didn’t help that some of my cellmates were talking, or that my neighbor sang and banged on the wall for all hours of the day.
This was my very first arrest, and the charge is “crossing a police line.” I expected a phone call, and to have my rights read to me, but the big joke of the weekend was, “that’s only on TV.”

On Monday morning, we were eventually taken out of our cells to be taken to the court house. They plasticuffed us together. Three or four people per grouping, and placed us into the vans with the VERY cramped sitting area. We arrived at the court house, and they walked us into an area to put leg shackles on us. We saw Cindy and Elaine for the first time in this area. Obviously men and women are separate in jail. From there, they took us to a holding cell for traffic court offenders. It was run by the U.S. Marshal service.

Attorney Ann Wilcox came walking through one of the doors, and we finally got to hear a little bit about what was happening with Camp OUT NOW, and with our arrests. A BIG thank you to Ann for doing everything you did for us.

When it was time to go to court, they put handcuffs on our wrists that attached to a chain around our bellies. Then we were taken to a cell that is meant to hold four people, but they managed to shove 14 in. Cindy, Elaine, and other ladies were in the neighboring cell.

Never before have I wished for my name to be called. We waited for at least 2 hours in that cell before we finally were able to see the judge. We all plead not guilty, and have a trial sometime in June, but one of the more interesting things to happen was a request from the White House to create a “stay away” area around the White House that if we were to enter, we would get an automatic sixth months in prison.

When I finally entered the court room, I was THRILLED to see some of our friends from Camp OUT NOW waiting there for us. It made me feel really good inside.

Finally, the shackles and everything were taken off, and I was able to have a cigarette outside (thanks Josh). PressTV was there to interview us, and they took pictures of the purple abrasions on my ankles from the leg shackles.

The one thought that I had all weekend was that anything that I and the others experienced PALED in comparison to what those people in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan have had to endure. Cindy said they couldn’t do anything worse to her than taking the life of her child.
I was often asked if I would do it again. My answer is without hesitation.

There was a time when the pen was mightier than the sword. That was a time when people believed in truth and regarded truth as an independent power and not as an auxiliary for government, class, race, ideological, personal, or financial interest.

Today Americans are ruled by propaganda. Americans have little regard for truth, little access to it, and little ability to recognize it.

Truth is an unwelcome entity. It is disturbing. It is off limits. Those who speak it run the risk of being branded “anti-American,” “anti-semite” or “conspiracy theorist.”

Truth is an inconvenience for government and for the interest groups whose campaign contributions control government.

Truth is an inconvenience for prosecutors who want convictions, not the discovery of innocence or guilt.

Truth is inconvenient for ideologues.

Today many whose goal once was the discovery of truth are now paid handsomely to hide it. “Free market economists” are paid to sell offshoring to the American people. High-productivity, high value-added American jobs are denigrated as dirty, old industrial jobs. Relicts from long ago, we are best shed of them. Their place has been taken by “the New Economy,” a mythical economy that allegedly consists of high-tech white collar jobs in which Americans innovate and finance activities that occur offshore. All Americans need in order to participate in this “new economy” are finance degrees from Ivy League universities, and then they will work on Wall Street at million dollar jobs.

Economists who were once respectable took money to contribute to this myth of “the New Economy.”

And not only economists sell their souls for filthy lucre. Recently we have had reports of medical doctors who, for money, have published in peer-reviewed journals concocted “studies” that hype this or that new medicine produced by pharmaceutical companies that paid for the “studies.”

The Council of Europe is investigating the drug companies’ role in hyping a false swine flu pandemic in order to gain billions of dollars in sales of the vaccine.

The media helped the US military hype its recent Marja offensive in Afghanistan, describing Marja as a city of 80,000 under Taliban control. It turns out that Marja is not urban but a collection of village farms.

And there is the global warming scandal, in which NGOs. the UN, and the nuclear industry colluded in concocting a doomsday scenario in order to create profit in pollution.

Wherever one looks, truth has fallen to money.

Wherever money is insufficient to bury the truth, ignorance, propaganda, and short memories finish the job.

I remember when, following CIA director William Colby’s testimony before the Church Committee in the mid-1970s, presidents Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan issued executive orders preventing the CIA and U.S. black-op groups from assassinating foreign leaders. In 2010 the US Congress was told by Dennis Blair, head of national intelligence, that the US now assassinates its own citizens in addition to foreign leaders.

When Blair told the House Intelligence Committee that US citizens no longer needed to be arrested, charged, tried, and convicted of a capital crime, just murdered on suspicion alone of being a “threat,” he wasn’t impeached. No investigation pursued. Nothing happened. There was no Church Committee. In the mid-1970s the CIA got into trouble for plots to kill Castro. Today it is American citizens who are on the hit list. Whatever objections there might be don’t carry any weight. No one in government is in any trouble over the assassination of U.S. citizens by the U.S. government.

As an economist, I am astonished that the American economics profession has no awareness whatsoever that the U.S. economy has been destroyed by the offshoring of U.S. GDP to overseas countries. U.S. corporations, in pursuit of absolute advantage or lowest labor costs and maximum CEO “performance bonuses,” have moved the production of goods and services marketed to Americans to China, India, and elsewhere abroad. When I read economists describe offshoring as free trade based on comparative advantage, I realize that there is no intelligence or integrity in the American economics profession.

Intelligence and integrity have been purchased by money. The transnational or global U.S. corporations pay multi-million dollar compensation packages to top managers, who achieve these “performance awards” by replacing U.S. labor with foreign labor. While Washington worries about “the Muslim threat,” Wall Street, U.S. corporations and “free market” shills destroy the U.S. economy and the prospects of tens of millions of Americans.

Americans, or most of them, have proved to be putty in the hands of the police state.

Americans have bought into the government’s claim that security requires the suspension of civil liberties and accountable government. Astonishingly, Americans, or most of them, believe that civil liberties, such as habeas corpus and due process, protect “terrorists,” and not themselves. Many also believe that the Constitution is a tired old document that prevents government from exercising the kind of police state powers necessary to keep Americans safe and free.

Most Americans are unlikely to hear from anyone who would tell them any different.

I was associate editor and columnist for the Wall Street Journal. I was Business Week’s first outside columnist, a position I held for 15 years. I was columnist for a decade for Scripps Howard News Service, carried in 300 newspapers. I was a columnist for the Washington Times and for newspapers in France and Italy and for a magazine in Germany. I was a contributor to the New York Times and a regular feature in the Los Angeles Times. Today I cannot publish in, or appear on, the American “mainstream media.”

For the last six years I have been banned from the “mainstream media.” My last column in the New York Times appeared in January, 2004, coauthored with Democratic U.S. Senator Charles Schumer representing New York. We addressed the offshoring of U.S. jobs. Our op-ed article produced a conference at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. and live coverage by C-Span. A debate was launched. No such thing could happen today.

For years I was a mainstay at the Washington Times, producing credibility for the Moony newspaper as a Business Week columnist, former Wall Street Journal editor, and former Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury. But when I began criticizing Bush’s wars of aggression, the order came down to Mary Lou Forbes to cancel my column.

The American corporate does not serve the truth. It serves the government and the interest groups that empower the government.

America’s fate was sealed when the public and the anti-war movement bought the government’s 9/11 conspiracy theory. The government’s account of 9/11 is contradicted by much evidence. Nevertheless, this defining event of our time, which has launched the US on interminable wars of aggression and a domestic police state, is a taboo topic for investigation in the media. It is pointless to complain of war and a police state when one accepts the premise upon which they are based.

These trillion dollar wars have created financing problems for Washington’s deficits and threaten the U.S. dollar’s role as world reserve currency. The wars and the pressure that the budget deficits put on the dollar’s value have put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block. Former Goldman Sachs chairman and U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson is after these protections for the elderly. Fed chairman Bernanke is also after them. The Republicans are after them as well. These protections are called “entitlements” as if they are some sort of welfare that people have not paid for in payroll taxes all their working lives.

With over 21 per cent unemployment as measured by the methodology of 1980, with American jobs, GDP, and technology having been given to China and India, with war being Washington’s greatest commitment, with the dollar over-burdened with debt, with civil liberty sacrificed to the “war on terror,” the liberty and prosperity of the American people have been thrown into the trash bin of history.

The militarism of the U.S. and Israeli states, and Wall Street and corporate greed, will now run their course. As the pen is censored and its might extinguished, I am signing off.

During the show we cover some highlights from the day and discuss strategies for activism, with the aim of improving the way in which we communicate about the problems associated with climate science and social policy.

This may be the shortest lived Diary on Kos history, begun only one week ago, mainly in response to the banishment of Tocque DeVille. I endeavor not to stray beyond the barricades of the Rules, but if I too face exile, all I ask of Kos and Meteor Blades before the guillotine is pulled is as much thoughtful consideration of these issues as I have given them…

…But how do we explain the shocking backsliding of Obama and his majority party: indefinite detention, torture lite continuing in Gitmo and Bagram, virtual immunity for war criminals, acceptable collateral drone carnage of civilians in Pakistan and Afghanistan, escalation of the disingenuous War on Terror, not to mention the subsidization of our piratical financial class. We are still locked in the shock of 9/11, the sole justification for this endless train of abuses, usurpations, and crimes. To forswear waterboarding would be regression to a perilous “September 10th mentality,” Elizabeth Cheney assures us.

9/11 is the wellspring that keeps on gushing, fueling our fear, barbaric behavior, and coffers of the merchants of death. But if the officially sanctioned narrative of 9/11 is any way deficient—if it is a cover-up of some kind, as many credible Commission staffers, prominent academics, military and intelligence officers, architects and engineers have alleged—then we cannot continue tacitly endorsing it without very grave and perhaps fatal consequences to our republic. To censor all inquiry that reflects critically on that first, very panicked draft of history, and declare any revisionist narrative heresy, surrenders our minds to the perpetual War lobby still feeding on it.

The disillusioning betrayals by our Democratic majority should be sufficient evidence of that by now. The torture, renditions, bloodbaths and bankrupting imperialism could be extended for 10 more years, as a Pentagon general recently envisioned. The Constitution, and critical domestic initiatives, are indefinitely detained…
