With the publication today of a half page spread in Sydney’s leading broadsheet newspaper, we can finally announce that the eight year blackout on reportage of the worldwide movement for truth and justice known as the 9/11 Truth Movement, has finally ended.

This is a very important day for all of us who have fought to bring this information to light, whether through street activism, blogging, or even just trying to convince our friends and family that this is real and important.

In my conversation with Lieutenant Evangelista, never mentioning this to him, he questioned me and asked me if I saw low-level flashes in front of the building, and I agreed with him because I thought — at that time I didn’t know what it was. I mean, it could have been as a result of the building collapsing, things exploding, but I saw a flash flash flash and then it looked like the building came down.

A. No, the lower level of the building. You know like when they demolish a building, how when they blow up a building, when it falls down? That’s what I thought I saw. And I didn’t broach the topic to him, but he asked me. He said I don’t know if I’m crazy, but I just wanted to ask you because you were standing right next to me. He said did you see anything by the building? And I said what do you mean by see anything? He said did you see any flashes? I said, yes, well, I thought it was just me. He said no, I saw them, too.

On 12 December 2009 a group of activists met at Martin Place in Sydney to challenge the irrational, unscientific and anti-democratic agenda of the Walk Against Warming protest march.

On tonight’s show we speak with two of those activists: Bill Koutalianos - a member of the Climate Sceptics Party, and Phil Davis of Truth Movement Australia.

During the show we cover some highlights from the day and discuss strategies for activism, with the aim of improving the way in which we communicate about the problems associated with climate science and social policy.

We also have some video (below) from the protest. The debate with the physicist has provoked some criticism which I believe is justified - this could could have been handled better!

Tonight we welcome John Bursill back to the show to share with us some highlights from the 9/11 Hard Evidence multi-city tour, which included Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington.

The biggest success of the tour was the Wellington presentation by Richard Gage, which drew a crowd of close to a thousand.

The New Zealand leg of the tour also enjoyed extensive coverage from major media, including Wellington broadsheet The Capital Times, and a 36  minute interview on Radio New Zealand.

In the second half we return to the raging debate over climate change which is now dominating Australian politics, and we take a look at the latest scandal over the release of thousands of private emails between top climate change scientists showing evidence of collusion to deceive the public and undermine sceptics.

In the final section we take a brief look at the work of Jewish historian Shlomo Sand, who argues that the Israeli state has been built on the foundations of myth and falsehood.

Today it is my pleasure to talk to Craig Ranke of the Citizen Investigation Team, a two man operation which has been investigating the Pentagon attack for several years now. Their latest production is a film titled “National Security Alert“.

The central thesis of the film is that the flight path of the plane believed to have struck the Pentagon was to the north of the Citgo gas station, making it impossible for the plane to have downed several light poles as claimed in the official report. The film further asserts that the plane executed a flyover which was synchronised with an explosion within the building.

Craig’s work has sparked considerable division and acrimony in the 9/11 research community and accusations of deliberate disinformation have been levelled. We present some critical analysis below:

Schapelle Corby became a household name in Australia after her arrest in 2004 on charges of importing 4.2 Kg of marijuana into Bali.

Her subsequent trial and guilty verdict were covered extensively in the news, and in 2005 there was a groundswell of support from all over Australia due to the inconsistencies in the evidence against her, the main one being that the street value of marijuana in Bali is roughly one eighth of the Australian value. Why would someone take enormous risks to import a drug into a foreign country for a massive loss?

The weakness of the case against Schapelle was compounded by the fact that the Indonesian prosecutors could not offer a single piece of forensic evidence to support their case, despite repeated requests from Corby’s defense team. The marijuana was not tested for its origin, finger prints were not taken and CCTV footage was mysteriously unavailable.

The case against Schapelle was based exclusively on circumstantial evidence, bolstered by (disputed) claims that her behaviour during the initial search demonstrated guilt.

The final twist was a “trial by media” which occured after Australian television program “Today Tonight”  payed Jodie Power $100,000 cash to air extremely damaging allegations about Schapelle’s sister Mercedes and the Corby family.

In May 2008, a New South Wales Supreme Court jury found that Channel Seven defamed Mercedes Corby, after which Seven Network settled the case for an undisclosed sum.

Schapelle’s mental state is reported to have deteriorated dramatically in the past year. Psychiatrist Jonathan Phillips visited Schapelle in jail earlier this year, and described her condition as follows:

“She is lost in her own bewildering world where fantasy, hallucinations and bizarre ideas dominate her mind… I really fear for her.”

“I know from experience that her illness will not get any better in the current situation, and will probably worsen with the risk of calamity.”

“Whether she’s innocent or guilty, her needs are medical.”

“She is in huge trouble.”

“I’ve never known a similar situation before and the things that might go wrong are beyond reckoning.”

Tonight TNRA welcomes Roy Reeves, a close friend of the Corby family, to discuss these issues and the miscarriage of justice which now threatens Schapelle’s life.
